Exploring various areas of the Australian alps via snow shoes, cross country or telemark skiing. All levels welcome. Basic snow skills will be available to learn if interested. These are winter trips and appropriate equipment will be needed, which can be rented if required.

	Wow, It was Snowing today, In between orange and Bathurst. Had to stop the car to get out for a photo, Nothing could beat the fresh feeling of a cold snowy night... without the wind of course :) Get to the snow this winter Guys and girls ! :) I have a good feeling the snow is going to be really good this year at the Snowy mountains Down Under:)

You'll need warm clothing and I suggest using a layering style of clothing starting with a good base layer i.e polyprop underwear or wool. A middle layer be it one good polar fleece or 2 mid weight polar fleece jumpers. Your outer layer or shell normally consists of a good rain coat or jacket that will repel rain and wind. A warm beanie/hat (ideally wool or fleece) and gloves/mittens are essential. I would suggest a good sleeping bag minus 10degrees or better with a sleeping bag liner (if available). A good sleeping pad (or 2 if your a cold sleeper). Depending on numbers we will either rent the tent and cooking equipment, I can personally only help limited numbers in my tent. What snow equipment we need we can rent for a limited cost down in the Snowy mountains. With registration of interest I will provide a list of equipment needed and am more than happy to advise anyone on equipment. Thanks for asking dude.
