The centre consists of a 50-metre heated outdoor pool, an international size water polo pool and a multi-functional family fun and recreation area incorporating both a 50-metre and 25-metre indoor pool, spa and steam room. The fitness area conducts more than 175 fitness classes per week which include group fitness, circuit, boxing and aqua.

The centre also caters for special populations including older adults, children, special needs groups and sporting teams.

The schools department conducts student fitness sessions for 20 schools and learn to swim classes for 28 schools. The centre also caters for pool parties which are held in the heated party pool.

The Swim School/Squad Department caters for 2,700 learn to swim and 1,500 swim squad members per week.

The Sutherland Leisure Centre is one of four high performance centres that works in conjunction with the NSW Institute of Sport in the delivery of Elite squad programs.

These programs are well supported by the Possum Corner Creche, Cafe and Bio-mechanic massage therapy. There is also a range of swimwear and swim accessories available for sale at the centre.
